Sleepy, sleepy Sunday.

I finally did play my gig at INOJIES and spoke a little Japanese… My Japanese is so rusty! LOL, it was a bit embarrassing to speak such basic Japanese and even mess up at it. I’m glad they did understand what I was saying, though! So anyway, I ended up sleeping for 5h today and I am now very sleepy, hahah…

On to something else– I’m going to play at Lighthouse Jazz Club on Monday at 5PM SLT. It is a beautiful new jazz club! If you haven’t been there, you’ve got to check it out. And if you have, all the more reason to come join me :) You’ll understand once you get there.

I will be on piano myself… I’m working on some new songs and I think it will be a good performance, as well as a very special one. Thanks to Habbanero and Jazz for inviting me to play at their club, again. I’m very happy about it!

And as per usual, your support and presence is what makes it all worth it… so I would love to see you there :D

Crazy Schedule #2

This past week I didn’t play much in SL because I’m still getting used to my new RL schedule, but it would seem like my time to do it has come to an end! I’m having a crazy week full of homework, lessons to teach, performances and (this is what I find most difficult of it all:) songs to record and write lyrics to. I’m so behind in my FAWM that it is not even funny.

At any rate, this week I will be playing some new locations I have not posted because I don’t have the landmarks yet. But look!!

David and I will be playing at a japanese stage for the first time ever! It will be my third time singing for a japanese audience, and this time I won’t be singing tango. That’s got to be good for us all! LOL.

I Will Not Cough!

I was very happy because there have been some people from Japan going to my performances in Second Life thanks to Porta Fosse from Music Is Good! So I thought I would thank him publicly for it– doumo arigatou gozaimasu! :D

Ten Cubed Gallery

Last week, I performed at ten cubed gallery’s opening– on our first performance David and I had some major sound issues, and Second Life was also being its very special self so it didn’t make it any easier, but we survived although of course I was very sad and felt guilty about it as per usual, lol. I performed on my own next morning, though, and I’d like to think that I made up for it…

And now I caught a monster cold and I think I’m getting better… I won’t be performing this weekend, though. So I’ll see you all on Tuesday at Diegoland if you can make it! :)

Cute moment #1

There is a saying in Spanish which goes something like “an image speaks louder than words.” Well, okay, that’s not true. I just lied and wrote a somewhat farfetched adaptation. But my point is:

Ankari Holder & kitty!

Thank you Guy! Long live Second Life and the cuteness it provides sometimes. And speaking of which, I wonder if Meatspace Lounge still has its dolphin?…

Hello world (Crazy Schedule!)

I’ll be having a very crazy couple of weeks in Second Life; I’ll be performing almost daily! Between my RL school and RL gigs, lessons I teach and lessons I take, SL gigs, my study time, my FAWM and my brand-new PS2, it’s… going to be fun! :) (Some people say I have a bizarre sense of what’s fun. They might be right.)

So, anyway. Some of these shows will feature David on piano, some will feature Alex, and some, of course, will feature myself. I mean, I’ll be singing every time, lol, but sometimes I’ll be accompanying myself on piano. Please do check out my schedule on the right– I’d love to see you there. The more the merrier!!

And of course, I’ll still be playing my Wednesdays-at-7PM show at Blue Fusion Jazz Club (we had a blackout last week, but everything should be alright now) and my Sundays-at-8PM show at Sphynx Jazz Club. Also, I’ll be playing twice a week at Caribbean Breezes starting February! And I might be returning to Meatspace Lounge soon, but I need to talk to Kyle properly about that.

Hope to see you soon at one of my shows! Please feel free to comment or ask anything :).
